Fiscal work includes preparation and analysis of financial reports and posting of revenues. The employee must exercise considerable independent judgment and initiative in planning and directing the fiscal control system. Work is performed in accordance with established County finance procedures, local ordinances, Indiana Statutes governing the responsibilities of local government fiscal operations, and generally accepted accounting principles. Work is performed and assigned under the general supervision of the County Auditor.
Essential Functions:
Prepares, reviews & runs account payable dockets.
Receive and record report of collections or other deposits.
Works with individual departments answering all questions about their budgets and accounts.
Run a variety of reports.
Attend Council & Commissioners meetings as needed
Work with individual departments to correct errors regarding payables, receivables, payroll, and budget.
Works with Treasurers office to balance end of month.
Set up accounts, funds, objects, locations and give access to others within the financial system
Works with the entire budget process.
Takes lead in ERP with regards to financial and budgets.
Provides financial reports on various budgetary data for Board members and outside
agencies
Assists in the annual upload to Gateway
Assists with the annual GAAP reporting.
Assists in payroll when employee is out.
Assists County Auditor in all duties.
Performs related duties as assigned
