    Boomers and Beyond Fall Walking Club Get your exercise and learn about the natural environment surrounding you as you take a walk through the woods. Explore Bendix Woods County Park and Spicer Lake Nature Preserve during this five-part series. Each walk will last approximately one hour. Registration required by September 19.

    Fall Fling for the Little Ones Fall is the perfect time to get outdoors with kids! Join us for a special morning of activities for children five and under. Explore fall animal play stations and go on a hayride! Kids can also create a unique craft, hear a fall story, sample a tasty snack, and play on the playground. Registration required by October 5. Weather permitting.

    Hoosier Riverwatch Basic Training Workshop Become a certified volunteer water quality monitor! This training certifies citizens and educators to test a local stream and submit information to a state database. Methods are hands-on and include habitat, chemical, and biological assessment. Educators earn seven professional growth points but anyone 18 and over can be a Hoosier River-watcher! Sessions will be inside and outdoors, so dress for the weather and to get your feet wet. Bring a sack lunch. Registration required by September 30.

    Public Hayrides Hayrides are one of the best ways to enjoy the cool autumn air and fall colors at Bendix Woods County Park. Make an afternoon of it, bring a picnic, take a hike, and enjoy the park! Sponsored by Dr. Elmer R. Graber Youth Fund for Exploring Nature. Weather permitting.
