The mission of SJC Geographic Information System (GIS) is to create, and maintain an efficient, cost-effective geographic information system through the use of specialized computer and mapping technologies in support of the Board of Commissioners, Elected Officials, and County Departments.

Nearly all-county government information has a geographic component to it. GIS consolidates and integrates all of this information so that it can be managed more effectively and efficiently.
The interactive map is designed to provide City and Town information for the properties within St Joseph County. The map also includes information such as street names, parcel boundaries, and city boundaries. This mapping application can also be viewed in full-screen.
